He was born in Texas on April 24, 1957 and started his professional music carreer in 1980 by two solo singles release titled "The Rest Of The Night" and "There's Nothing So Expensive As Woman Who's Free For The Night" under Scotti Bros., USA. Clif came across his fatal songwriting partner whose name is Glen Ballard in 1983 and they wrote the song titled "It's Gonna Be Special" for the motion picture "Two Of A Kind" performed by Patti Austin. Clif's string of hit singles and records began in the 1980s when he had the a #1 hit with Jack Wagner ("All I Need") and a top 5 with Wilson Phillips ("Impulsive"). In 1990 Clif took home a Grammy for the song "The Places You Find Love" from Quincy Jones' critically acclaimed album "Back On The Block." Just three years later, in 1993, Clif was nominated for an Oscar and a Golden Globe for the song "The Day I Fall In Love" from the film "Beethoven's 2nd". After the success as a singer, Clif released his first solo album in 1994 by the request of Empire Records, Sweden. His impressive roster of artists with whom he has written and/or produced for include Celine Dion, Barbara Streisand, Sheena Easton, Steve Perry, Dolly Parton, James Ingram, Cheap Trick, Amy Grant, Lisa Marie Presley, Judith Owen and Wild Orchid to name a few. He worked with AVRIL LAVIGNE as songwriter and producer for her single „Losing Grip“ and her multi platinum album „Let Go“. The names may be recognized from such artists as Yngwie Malmsteen, Hammerfall, John Norum, Silver Mountain, Snake Charmer, Glory, Brazen Abbot, Jean Beauvoir and A.R.K, just to name a few. They have joined forces with guitarist and songwriter talent Ralf Jedestedt who makes his record debut with this album. Ralf is the actual brain behind GEFF. The story behind GEFF is quit simple. Ralf, an old time friend of both Per and Anders, played a couple of songs to Per, asking him if he would consider recording an album in his studio and also do the bass parts. Then they simply gathered a couple of highly regarded musicians, also old time friends, which are considered as being natural and important parts of the Swedish heavy metal and hard rock history. Göran helped Ralf to complete the songs and the arrangements were done by the group. Jens Johansson (keyboards), of Stratovarius fame, was hanging out at the studio at one occasion. He was asked to do a guest appearance on one of the album tracks. He came up with what might be one of his best solos ever. The members strongly believe in GEFF. Danish guitarist Soren Andersen (OLIVER WEERS) joins GLENN HUGHES line-up!

The Deep Purple-icon GLENN HUGHES has long searched for a European guitarist, and has now teamed up with SOREN ANDERSEN (Oliver Weers), who states ”I toured with Marco Mendoza and Tommy Aldridge (Thin Lizzy/Whitesnake) last year around the release of Marco’s solo album ”Live For Tomorrow”, and that’s how I got in touch with Glenn Hughes. Much of his touring is based outside the US, so it is ideal for him to use European musicians. That’s where I came into the picture.” Glenn Hughes established his name, when he joined Deep Purple in 1973 as vocalist and bassplayer, and is now colleague with SOREN ANDERSEN. ”I bought Deep Purple’s ”Burn” on vinyl, when I was 14 at a market in Germany, and Deep Purple has been a fundamental part of my musical approach and understanding since” Soren states. ”Glenn Hughes has always been my favorite male vocalist, so it is a huge honor to work with him. Where Are You Now ::: ALYSON AVENUE - "Presence Of Mind" & "Omega II" ::: label: Yesterrock distributor: NL Distribution release date: May 29th, 2009 ALYSON AVENUE is a female fronted AOR/ Melodic Rock band from Sweden that was founded in 1989. The band released two albums, ”Presence Of Mind” (2000) and ”Omega” (2004), until they called it a day in 2006. ”Presence Of Mind” gained rave reviews including a 93/100 in Japan’s well-known BURRN!!! Magazine which lead to massive sales. The band then started to put together ”Omega” which was finally released in 2004 and earned enthusiatic reviews by the press.          During this time, ALYSON AVENUE was fronted by Anette Olzon (now NIGHTWISH) with Niclas Olsson on keyboards, Thomas Löyskä on bass, Fredrik Eriksson on drums and Tony Rohtla on guitar. Anette Olzon joined NIGHTWISH in 2007 and the rest of AA had already started working with an male vocalist. But Anette’s success in Nightwish lead to renewed interest from labels and customers in AA’s albums. As both recordings were out of print, there was no possibility to buy them anywhere. The only thing that could make the band release these albums again was re-recording at least ’Omega’. Many audio tracks from the original output were deleted and have now been newly recorded. The original voice of Anette is still there though. Also five polished demos have been added to the album as bonus tracks - and ”Omega II” was done! ”Presence Of Mind” is still the same as the band finds it charming in its sound and memory.
