THE ROLLING STONES STONES IN EXILE

Russell Im Frühjahr 1971 verließen die Rolling Stones als Steuerflüchtlinge ihre Heimat England und siedelten nach Frankreich über. Keith Richards entschied sich für eine Villa namens ´Nellcôte` in Villefranche-sur-Mer, in der anschließend auch die Aufnahmen für das absolute Meisterwerk der Band, ihr Album „Exile On Main Street”, stattfanden. „Stones In Exile” erzählt die Geschichte aus der Sicht der beteiligten Musiker und zeigt umfangreichen Aufnahmen aus dem Archiv der Band während ihrer Abwesenheit in England und der Arbeiten an diesem außergewöhnlichen Doppelalbum, das von Fachleuten als bestes ihrer gesamten Karriere eingestuft wird. Das Bonusmaterial umfasst Interviews mit allen Gruppenmitgliedern Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts, Bill Wyman und Mick Taylor. Dazu kommt Material von „Cocksucker Blues”, Aufnahmen von Mick Jaggers und Charlie Watts Rückkehr in die ´Olympic Studios` sowie Einblicke in Jaggers Landsitz ´Stargroves`, wo ein Großteil der Vorarbeiten zu diesem Album stattfanden. Darüber hinaus findet man Beiträge von Martin Scorsese, Jack White, Don Was, Caleb Followill (Kings Of Leon), Benicio Del Toro, Will.I.Am (Black Eyed Peas), Sheryl Crow, Anita Pallenberg, Ronnie Wood, Produzent Jimmy Miller, Toningenieur Andy Johns, Fotograf Dominique Tarlé und Saxophonist Bobby Keys. This was already obvious whilst being educated at the conservatoire in Biel and the school of musicals in Munich where she took singing lessons. Her voice has matured during a couple of first tries as a solo singer and back-up jobs for A-Ha, Thin Lizzy, Al Jarreau, David Hasselhoff, Toto Cutugno, Claudia Jung, Roland Kaiser or Uwe Ochsenknecht. As a result, she later worked for Al Bano & Romina Power and as a result, in the end took over Romina’s parts completely. At the change of the millennium, Jane represented Switzerland at the Eurosong Festival in Stockholm, worked as singer and dancer with DJ Bobo and as a lecturer for ‘pop vocal performances’ at the University of Arts in Berne, Switzerland. Even more inspired and infected, Jane together with Robert Papst (Dominoe) and Guenther Skitschak (Dominoe) wrote the songs for “Fifth Dimension” and engaged a couple of guests such as Jeff Scott Soto (W.E.T., Journey, Talisman, Malmsteen), Joe Lynn Turner (Deep Purple, Rainbow, Hughes-Turner Project), John „Rhino“ Edwards (Status Quo), Matt Beck (Rod Stewart) and Charlie Morgan (Elton John) to help her with the realization of the record. These well known names and the great production job by
Robert Papst helped Jane a lot to get herself in top form as well. The
result is a record with obvious roots coming from the 80’s Rock music, which
nevertheless creates an immense closeness, intensity and tension force – an

In 2001, WICKED SENSATION for the first time stepped into the spotlight of the international hard rock scene with their highly praised debut album “REFLECTED”. Shortly after, WICKED SENSATION was featured in the press as "The Newcomer" of the year, and compared - but not least because of the charismatic voice of Robert Soeterboek - with well known bands like WHITESNAKE. Their debut "REFLECTED" was named album of the month in the ROCK IT! magazine and brought the band exclusive, above average reviews and ratings worldwide. While touring Europe accompanied by the English band Dare, WICKED SENSATION was able to demonstrate impressively their qualities as well as their outstanding live performance. Numerous shows and festivals followed the tour with bands like Saxon, Saga, Nazareth, Roger Chapman, M3 classic Whitesnake, Axxis, Vanden Plas, and many others. In 2004 WICKED SENSATION released the follow-up album "EXCEPTIONAL” and Fernando Garcia (ex-Victory) took over the vocals. Once again, WICKED SENSATION received outstanding reviews internationally and again was named "Album of the Month" in the Spanish edition of ROCK HARD magazine. After several gigs with this formation the band called it quits in 2006 due to musical differences. Michael Klein (founder, songwriter and guitarist of the band) never really wanted to close the topic WICKED SENSATION. So in summer 2009, Michael and original singer Robert Soeterboek got back together to arrange a new collaboration. Also joined by bassist and producer Dennis Ward (PINK CREAM 69) and drummer Dirk Bruinenberg (ex-ELEGY/BOB CATLEY) the top-class album titled "CRYSTALLIZED” was recorded. "CRYSTALLIZED" includes all the typical trademarks, which have made WICKED SENSATION
well known on their debut album, and flawlessly connects with the successes of
the early days. "CRYSTALLIZED" impresses with a variety of first class songs, which definitely have a convincing impact. Due to the distinctive guitar playing and songwriting of Michael Klein together as a team with Robert Soeterboek and Dennis Ward, this new WICKED SENSATION album will most certainly be the surprise of 2010! The legendary AOR
band Bad Habit formed in Lund, Sweden in 1986 by Hal Marabel and
now ex-keyboard player Doc Pat Shannon. They released their first album
(mini-album) ‘Young & Innocent’ in 1987 and were actually the first
band to get an independently produced music video aired on Swedish national TV.
The video was of their first ever single release ‘Need Somebody’. Bad Habit now return with a 'best of' album entitled 'Timeless', which features a collection of songs from the albums - 'Young & Innocent', 'After Hours', 'Revolution' and 'Above And Beyond', as well as two new and previously un-released songs. PAVLOV'S DOG - "PAMPERED
MENIAL (digi pack, remastered plus bonus)" Pampered Menial founded the lasting legend of Pavlov`s Dog. An undoubted
milestone in Rock History. The album charted on two labels simultaneously on the Billboard Charts, a
first & last for the music industry. The music on Pampered Menial is a
unique, highly emotional music artwork, with David Surkamp`s incredible vocal
performance floating above like coming from another world. The album, full of
masterpieces like Julia and Song Dance, touches listeners deeply in their
hearts. The neverheard hightuned, fragile falsetto voice founded the – wrong -
legend that David Surkamp later died from inhaling helium before singing. Love
it or hate it, there is no space between. An extraordinary band lineup - besides guitar, bass and drums there are mellotron/
organ, piano and an affecting violin - gained a singular sound. Listening to
Pampered Menial, it becomes traceable why the record industry was ready to pay
unheared figures to sign this fantastic ensemble. This 2010 reissue comes as
precious digi pack edition in restored '75 ABC vinly artwork, with additional
pictures of Pavlov`s Dog's in early days. Four bonus tracks make the release a
treasure-box for the fans: There is e.g. the previously unreleased original 10
minutes version of Preludin performed live, there is the outtaken song „I Wish
It Would Rain“ initially rehearsed for Pampered Menial, or the long lost 1st
recording of David Surkamp singing lead ever, „Rainbow“ recorded in 1969 by the
band Touch. The nine original tracks were sensitively remastered. Enjoy it! PAVLOV'S DOG - "AT THE
SOUND OF THE BELL (Digi pack, remastered, plus bonus)" Pavlov's Dog were founded in
1973 by Chuck Berry's drummer Mike Safron. After Pavlov's Dog entered the music
scene in 1975 by the release of their 1st album Pampered Menial
(being no less than the highest signed newcomer band ever since!), the band's
2nd album At The Sound Of The Bell was released in 1976. The musicians contributing to
At The Sound Of The Bell sound like a Hall Of Fame (Yes, King Crimson, Roxy
Music, Steely Dan, Jazz giant Michael Brecker, ...). Once again it's a collection
of masterpieces - maybe a bit less rocking than Pampered Menial, but even more emotional
affecting. Songs, such as She Came Shining, Standing Here With You or Did You See
Him Cry, mark another high peak of David Surkamp`s songwriting & vocal
performance. This 2010 reissue comes as
precious digi pack edition. The original tracks were sensitively remastered.
Three bonus tracks of rare live recordings make the release a treasure-box for

After a four and a half year absence GRAND ILLUSION have decided to reunite and the boys also have a new album with the title, “Brand New World”, in the pipeline. The band core of Anders Rydholm, Peter Sundell and Per Svensson are intact and guests on their new album are Gregg Bissonette, Tim Pierce, Danny Jacobs, Roger Ljunggren and Kjell Klaesson.
"In 2005 we needed a break and to work with other
people to develop as musicians. The core of GRAND ILLUSION started in 1986
(under the name Promotion). A lot of things has happened during the four years
since the break up but now we all felt that it was time to get back together,
have fun and make some great music. We have never before worked so hard on
any album. Just having legends like Gregg on drums and Tim and Danny on guitar
solos feels like magic. The band formula with strong melodies and over the top
vocals are the same", says Rydholm. In April 2009 Rydholm flew to Los Angeles to record
drums with Gregg Bissonette in WoodCliff Studios, Sherman Oaks. During two
intense days Rydholm, Bissonette and engineer Frank Rosato recorded the drums
and the foundation for the new Grand Illusion record. In the lunch on the
second day both were talking about favourite guitar players and one thing led
to another and before the lunch had ended, Tim Pierce was booked for a
guitar session two days later. Mike Slamer is another guitar legend that guests
on this new album. Roger Ljunggren played the majority of the solos on
"View From The Top" and we are very pleased that he once again helps
us out with a couple of solos. The band is also very proud to be back on the label
where everything started. Georg Siegl and AOR Heaven helped us release our
first album (PROMOTION – “Not for sale”) back in 1997 and now look

DRIVE, SHE SAID, the team of Mark Mangold and Al
Fritsch has now 6 CD’s under their belt. Formed in 1988, and having
released their first album on CBS Associated in 1989 it’s a fairly typical
story: critically acclaimed album, dropped from American label (in the wake of
the new grunge movement), same record is well received in Europe and becomes
number one on various highly respected UK periodicals, members win top honors
in polls and tours UK and various parts of Europe, and go on to release 2 more

In 1990 David Reece (ex
ACCEPT) and drummer Rusty Miller were ready to form a heavy
but melodic Rock n Roll band named BANGALORECHOIR in Los Angeles,
USA. A place to look for great guitar players was the GIT in Hollywood,
and so John Kirk and Danny Greenberg were found. Sharing the same musical
vision the writing began. First songs were ‘All or Nothin’ and ‘Slippin
Away’, both on the ‘On Target’ release. While rehearsing, John mentioned the
guitarist Curt Mitchell who had worked with a previous group out of Reno, NV
called RAZORMAID. Rusty Miller and the group parted ways, new
drummer Darek Thomas Cava (ex BRUNETTE) replaced him. After a couple shows the
band had offers from almost every label in town and settled with Giant Records
and recorded ‘On Target’ released 1991/1992. 2010 sees the re-issues of
this record on AOR Heaven. Re-mastered by Martin Kronlund in Sweden, this album
now also includes a video clip of the song “Loaded Gun” as a bonus. BANGALORE
CHOIR are currently record a new album which will be released later this year

DOLLS made it onto #1 into the official album charts of their home
country Norway via Sony Music - congratulations to the guys!
26th of February is the
date that everybody with an interest in rock music should make a note of, as
this is the day when Stage Dolls – one of Norway's best bands through more than
a quarter of a century – are releasing their seventh studio album. The title
"Always" underlines that this is a band you always can trust. And
simultaneously with the release, the band can mark the 25th anniversary of
their debut album, "Soldier's Gun". Life on the road has been
almost endless for Stage Dolls since - especially in Norway, but between
concerts the boys have found the time to visit Nidaros Studio – where they made
their earlier records – and the result is their new, in total 7th studio album,
"Always". Torstein Flakne co-produced it with Ronny Wikmark, who also
mixed it with Stage Dolls' former producer, Bjørn Nessjø. The American back-up
singers from their success album "Stage Dolls" are also featured, so

years on and FM are back with a monster of a new album titled “Metropolis” More

and a half year absence GRAND ILLUSION have decided to reunite and the boys
also have a new album with the title, “Brand New World”, in the pipeline. The
band core of Anders Rydholm, Peter Sundell and Per Svensson are intact and guests on their new album
are Gregg Bissonette, Tim Pierce, Danny Jacobs, Roger
Ljunggren and Kjell Klaesson. "In
2005 we needed a break and to work with other people to develop as musicians.
The core of GRAND ILLUSION started in 1986 (under the name Promotion). A lot of
things has happened during the four years since the break up but now we all
felt that it was time to get back together, have fun and make some great
music. We have never before worked so hard on any album. Just having legends
like Gregg on drums and Tim and Danny on guitar solos feels like magic. The
band formula with strong melodies and over the top vocals are the same",
says Rydholm. We are also
very proud to be back on the label where everything started. Georg Siegl and
AOR Heaven helped us release our first album (PROMOTION – “Not for sale”) back
in 1997 and now we look forward to join the Metal Heaven team. Georg and Monika
have put together an impressive rooster and we feel very welcomed to their

Four years after the last FRONTLINE studio album „Circles“, time was ripe for STATE OF ROCK, the new band around FRONTLINE guitarist Robby Böbel. “Hutch” Bauer and Rami Ali, two old FRONTLINE comrades, jumped on board, so the only question left open was who could take the place behind the microphone. That was when label boss Georg Siegl pulled the strings and got in contact with Tony Mills (SHY/TNT)... .. After only three demo songs it was clear that the chemistry between the two songwriters, Robby Böbel and Tony Mills, was great. Their strengths complemented each other and pushed them to new horizons. It turned out instantly that this new band is about to become something special!.. .. Their debut album, „A Point Of Destiny”, follows the slogan “75 % FRONTLINE + 25 % SHY = 100 % STATE OF ROCK”, as it combines the qualities of these two classic Melodic Rock bands: melodic vocals by Tony Mills at the times of SHY classics like “Excess All Areas” plus the unique guitar-licks by Robby Böbel... .. In September Tony Mills came to Germany to put final touches on the album. The band used the opportunity and played some showcase-gigs in front of a handpicked audience to emphasize that STATE OF ROCK are a real band and not just another project. “A Point Of Destiny” will be released on January 29th, 2010 – a date that any Melodic Rock fan should mark in his calendar.

ANGELS OF BABYLON is a brand new line-up of metal stalwarts featuring former MANOWAR drummer Rhino, Arizona based power-metal vocalist David Fefolt, guitarist Ethan Brosh and bassist David Ellefson. Their forthcoming debut album “Kingdom of Evil” comprises 10 new original songs, featuring cuts like “Conspiracy Theory”, “Second Coming” and “Apocalypse 2012”. .. .. .. .. INC. has just released their new record titled “Pulling The Trigger”. The
4 piece band has been on tour with TOTO in Germany 2005, 2006 and 2007 and did
plenty of shows in Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium. COOPER INC. is led by
frontman John Cuijpers (Ayreon), guitarist Christian Tolle (Christian Tolle
Project) and drummer extraordinaire Hans In’t Zandt (Ex-Vengeance, Mad Max).
