HEAD EAST - A Different Kind Of Crazy
label: Yesterrock
release date: 20.08.2010
Originally known as the ‘TimeAtions’ in the late 60’s, the US band adopted the name ‘Head East’ in 1969. The fivepiece Band signed a deal with A&M Records in 1974 where they’ve released a couple of highly successful chart selling albums in the following years which turned the band into one of the country’s leading Classic Rock bands of the era.
‘A Different Kind Of Crazy’ originally came out first in 1979 and reached #65 on the US Billboard charts, including the German hit single and radio hit ‘If You Knew Me Better’. This is the last studio release to feature the Boyd, Huston, Somerville, Schlitt, & Birney line-up. Re-mastered by Robert Papst, this sought after collector’s item is now available again through the German label YESTERROCK.
Head East today are still active as touring band and currently playing a couple of festivals in the U.S.A. After leaving the band in 1980, singer John Schlitt continued his career as the singer of White Metal band ‘PETRA’ and as a solo artist also.

MARTIN BRILEY - One Night With A Stranger

release date: 20.08.2010
Born in London, England, Martin Briley began playing and writing music when he was ten. When he was seventeen, with his band Mandrake he signed his first record deal with Parlophone/EMI. He then signed as a solo artist to Mercury Records winning critical acclaim for his three self-penned albums, though he is probably best known for his top 40 and MTV hit single ‘Salt in My Tears’ and the follow up single ‘Put Your Hands On The Screen’ from his second solo album ‘One Night With A Stranger’ (1983). Since then Martin has become one of the most prominent writers in America, he has received orchestral commissions, and has written songs for such artists as Celine Dion, *NSYNC, Dream, Michael Bolton, Kenny Loggins, Pat Benatar, Jessica Andrews, 5-Star, Jeff Healey, Rebecca St. James, Willy Nile, Gregg Allman and Barry Manilow, to name a few. Munich based label YESTERROCK now is re-releasing the extremely rare CD ‘One Night With A Stranger’ and makes it available again for a wide audience.
